Singer Jhene Aiko received backlash from some social media users for flaunting her relationship with Big Sean and filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Dot Da Genius. OAP Freeze read people's reactions and gave his opinion about the hypocrisy. Read his post after the cut...

The ‘volatile’ social media of 2016, allows victims to be torn apart by people, who oftimes are in worse off situations themselves. I watched with utter amazement, as a 44 year old spinster, tore Jhene to shreds over her cheating allegations/divorce, calling her all sorts of unprintable names. Because of this social media, that gives every Tom, Dick and Harry a microphone, a 44 year old woman, who has never been married and has no children can condemn another woman’s choice?
The first question on my mind was “Madam, how come you are not married at 44?” but fear no let me, as it was obvious that the poor mare needed an outlet to vent her frustration.
When Jhene started trending, I read tweets with awe, people who had little or no access to the real information, out of the blues became ‘professors of Jhene’, earning their PHDs and masters degrees on the subject, after spending all of 5 minutes digesting the story on TMZ. Some others who weren’t afforded the education TMZ gave, as their data plans were limited, relied solely on Facebook and Twitter, for their ONDs and HNDs on the subject.
I respect Jhene for deciding to end a ‘fungating’ relationship. There are a few reasons why a woman would cheat, the worst being that her heart is no longer in the relationship. Should she have stayed and continued cheating on Mr Dot, or moved on? Some suggested that she should have stayed and fixed her marriage, despite allegations of violence..
Hmmm like that gentleman in ibadan who went home to try to fix his marriage after he was stabbed once? The poor guy is in the grave yard, with the story more or less buried with him. Same thing with that pretty lagos banker, who died with her children right there in the house, trying to fix her marriage. This year alone I have come across 4 or 5 of such stories, and wonder when, if at all, people are going to learn.
In the western world, they are not burdened with the responsibility we have, of pretending all is well on the home front, while we slide in and out of DMs and hotel rooms, yet ‘forming’ self righteous.
Also, they do not enjoy the luxury of having some confused men of God, who are more worried about a couple going for deliverance if they engage in daily sex, or whether a woman knows how to cook or not, instead of facing what Jesus called them to do, to contend with.

Actor Will Smith, 47 and his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, 44 have been married for 19 years now and are parents to stars-Jaden and Willow Smith. Several divorce rumours have trailed the couple for several years now especially due to the fact that the couple have an open marriage. Will Smith, recently revealed that he and wife Jada have turned to couple's therapy to save their marriage.
Will said:

'I've done a lot of marriage counselling.'
'What happens in a marriage once you do counselling, the truth comes out, 'you look at each other and you can't imagine you could ever possibly love each other again now the truth is out.'
Adding that the tough honesty 'creates a dark moment' between them.
'But for me it's the dark before the dawn. When the truth comes out and people have to say who they are and what they think, you get to know who they are,' he added.

Will Smith also has a son Trey Smith, from his previous marriage to Hollywood Exes star Sheree Zampino.

Great Britain's 16 year old Amy Tinkler is now Britain's youngest athlete to win a medal at the Olympics in 32 years, after she won Bronze at the women's floor exercise event on Tuesday. It is an astonishing rise for the teenager who just last month sat in a school hall to take her GCSE exams and will collect her results on the day she returns from Brazil.  Holding back tears after her win, she said:

'I can't believe it. I knew I was Team GB's youngest athlete but this is crazy and I'm still in shock at the minute. 'It was a bit nerve-wracking watching the other athletes and knowing you are so close to a medal but I would have been happy with wherever I was place.'  'I went out there and did my best and enjoyed it so whatever the result, I would have been happy. I really am speechless.
'I put no pressure on myself and neither did my coaches. They just told me I had nothing to lose and to go out and enjoy it. I had made the floor final at the Olympics and deserved to be in it so I enjoyed it. 'As soon as I finished my routine, I knew I couldn't do any better. 'It has been an incredible week for British gymnastics. Hopefully there is a lot more to come from me and you will see me back out here in 2020.'

The old woman who was apprehended in Oshodi by a mob on Monday for carrying a dead baby on her back has been released by the Police. The old woman who has been identified as Kuburat Ayinde was interrogated by policemen after they rescued her from a mob who had accused her of kidnapping the dead baby.

The policemen gathered from Ayinde that the child she had strapped on her back was her Grandchild whom she was rushing to the hospital to get medical care. She said the baby belonged to her daughter who is mentally ill.

After she made this revelation, the police detained her to verify her claims.

The command spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos said they were able to verify the woman's claims after the said daughter and other family members showed up at the station to confirm what Ayinde had told the police.
